Registering Juniors

All juniors playing or learning at LPTC needs to be a member of the club, whether they are playing with other members, or taking part in the programs offered by our head pro. Memberships are valid for the entire season, and also grant some court booking privileges.

This page offers a few tips (in explicit detail) for registering your junior in the system and signing them up for a junior membership.

New Juniors:

Setting up the Family Structure

If you are an adult who wants to register one of more juniors at LPTC, then the best option is to setup a family structure in the system. There will be an account for in all the year yourself (with no tennis playing privileges unless you are already a member at LPTC), and then an attached account for each junior, with a membership added to each junior account. As a parent, you can manage the whole family, including making payments for membership.

If You Already Have an Account on CourtReserve

Login to your account on Court Reserve

Hover your cursor over your name in the upper right corner, to show the profile menu, and then click on "My Family". You'll see that currently your family in the system has only member defined, i.e. yourself

Now use the "+add new family member" button on the upper right to add your first child. Normally the "family role" field should be set to "child" unless you want them to have full access to the family account including billing info.

Junior members may book a court with either an adult or junior member during family time all day Saturday and with either and adult member or junior member during the dedicated junior spring and fall instructional tie 4-6 pm weekdays in May, June, September, and October if there is a court available that is not being used for junior instruction. Of course, at any time a junior member may play as a guest of an adult member (with no guest fee) assuming that the level of play does not affect players on other courts.

Note that after you have added the junior and if you have picked a membership for them during this process, you will be taken to a payment screen. You do not have to pay for their memberships now if you have other juniors to add; It's possible to pay for them all together. If this is the cade, simply go back to the profile menu on the upper right and click on "my family" to go back to the family page, instead of completing the payment screen.

If you do not have an Account on CourtReserve:

Go to the CourtReserve Portal:

Get Started

Click on the blue "create account" button on the upper right, and create an account for yourself.

After you have created your account, you will be shown a list of available membership types. The only one applicable to you as a non- member adult parent of a junior member at LPTC, is called "non-member adult". As described on-screen, signing up for this membership does not make you a LPTC member or confer playing privileges, but it does identify you as the parent of a child member, and allows additional control over your children's accounts.

Click on the blue "Join Plan" button inside the "Non-Member Adult" box, then click on "subscribe to this plan"

Now hover your cursor over your name in the upper right corner, to show the profile menu, and then click on "My Family". You'll see that currently your family in the system has only one member defined, i.e. yourself

Now use the "+ Add new family member" button on the upper right to add your first child. Normally the "family role" field should be set to "child" unless you want them to have full access to the family account including billing info.

Adding Memberships to Junior Accounts

If you already added the appropriate memberships to each Junior's account when you set up each Junior, then you can skip this section.

Otherwise, go back to the "My Family" screen and use the blue "Purchase Membership" membership button beside each junior's name, to select an appropriate membership for the junior.

Note that after you have selected a membership for a junior, you will be taken to a payment screen. You do not have to pay now if you have other juniors to add; It's possible to pay for them all together. If this is the case, simply click on the "My Family" link on the left side of the screen to go back to the family page, instead of completing the payment.

Paying for the Memberships

You may already have paid for your junior memberships right after you added the membership(s) to the junior account(s).

Otherwise, you now need to pay the family balance that is owing.

To do this:

Go to the "billing" section of your account profile

Click on "Transactions". You should be able to see your family balance

In the "unpaid fees" tab, you will see all the fees that are currently outstanding

Click on one of the "pay" buttons beside one of the fees. On the following screen, you will be able to pay this fee individually, or more likely, you will want to use the "add to invoice" button to add all the fees to the same invoice so you can pay everything together.
